DSPLY is a series of beautifully rendered Apple devices, ready for inclusion in your next design or animation project. The idea for DSPLY came as I was designing some UI comps for a web project and couldn't find a satisfying way to display them in context. A bit underwhelmed by the usual crop of stock templates, I rolled up my sleeves and built my own using Cinema 4D. The models turned out so well that I decided to make them available to anyone who requires this kind of product staging.
The original plan was to release just the Cinema 4D files, but after talking with a few designer friends, I decided to create easy-to-use PSD templates so that non-3D artists could also use DSPLY without having to learn C4D. Whether you are a graphic, web, mobile, or 3D designer, DSPLY has something for you.
Harnessing the power of Maxon Cinema 4D, DSPLY includes highly accurate models of popular Apple devices, including iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, iPhone 5S, iPad Air, MacBook Pro, and 27" Thunderbolt Display. Each model is made to scale and features custom texturing for both C4D native and Octane renderers.
For UI and UX designers, DSPLY comes with over 80 Photoshop templates featuring various devices staged in different environments, angles, and combinations. The layered PSD files allow you to place your own images and use smart filters and adjustment layers to dial in the perfect look.
DSPLY uses the fabulous Octane Render from Otoy. This unbiased renderer yields unbelievably realistic results in a fraction of the time. The quality of light, reflections, and specularity in the DSPLY templates is pretty awesome. If you are a C4D and Octane user, you'll love DSPLY.
